It’s the story of a woman. She embodies all those who take this great leap into the unknown, choosing to leave their homeland for another country they imagine to be better, filled with hope.
Far from seeking to offer solutions to the issue of migration, far from criticizing or judging actions…I simply wish to create empathy and understanding for those who decide to leave their homeland in search of a better elsewhere.
What does one feel deep inside when faced with such a dilemma?
Hesitation, doubt, fear, hope, determination, courage… It is a great leap into the void, into an unknown emptiness where one’s life is at stake. It is a rupture — the forced separation from one’s country, one’s roots, a part of one’s culture, a part of oneself.
